This multiple-choice component will contain 60 items from Chapters 4 5 6 11 and 12 in the text as well as material presented and discussed in class as indicated below (Learning Objective (LO) numbers are provided): Chapter 4 – Workplace emotions attitudes and stress – 12 items – LO1 – LO5 inclusive Chapter 5 – Foundations of employee motivation – 16 items – LO1 – LO7 inclusive Chapter 6 – Applied performance practices – 10 items – LO3 – LO6 inclusive Chapter 11 – Conflict and negotiation in the workplace – 10 items – LO1 – LO4 inclusive Chapter 12 – Leadership in organizational settings – 12 items – LO1 – LO6 inclusive The multiple-choice component of the Final Exam is “closed book” and course texts and/or other course materials are not permitted. Please note that the multiple-choice component of the Final Exam will open at 7:00 p.m. sharp (Halifax time) and will close promptly at 8:00 p.m. – please manage your time wisely. Please enter the Brightspace course site and click on the “Assessments” tab and then click on the link to the Final Exam (the same process as the Midterm Test). If you finish Part 1 before the allotted time you can then start to complete Part 2 (you do not have to wait until 8:00 p.m.). Part 2 – the case-analysis component of the Final Exam will be written between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. (Halifax time) on Monday December 21 2020. At 8:00 an exam case and a Word document will be made available to you on the Brightspace course site under the Content tab that contains the course outline. Please read the case provide an analysis of the case based on the instructions provided in the Word document and provide a recommendation as requested in the document. Please use the Word document provided to complete your analysis problem statement and recommendation. The case requirements can likely be easily completed within 3 pages double spaced. Please do not use point form – please use full sentences and paragraphs in the formulation of your answer. Additional details will be provided on the case submission document. The case-analysis component of the Final Exam is “open book” and you may use your course text and any other course materials in the development of your answer to this component.
