Gap Inc. is a company that has its roots traced back to the year 1969 where it started with just a simple idea of making just simple jeans (Shahri, M. H. 2011). The company has been progressing slowly as it is stated in its official website. Gap Inc. has grown big by introducing diverse clothing which amounts to seven different brands that has made it to meet its goal of global ambition, equality, inclusivity, and sustainability. They have tried to make sure that everybody’s desires are put into considerations in terms of designs by making sure that they get feedback from the customers about the products to fulfill their desires (Barnes et al.2013). Through customer feedback they have been able to design clothes for different people with different priorities to meet equality in the market. This also involves designing clothes with different prices that fits different classes of people in the society. Those with fewer incomes can get their designs as well as those with better incomes which provides equality in the society. The sustainability is also considered in this company where the material used can be able to sustain individuals for longer periods since they are made of jeans which are heavy. The firm has heavily believed in inclusivity and is also the pioneers of culture shapers. They believe in forces for good and trusts in possibility. They have had the aim of bridging the gap between the individuals, cultures, and generations by creating positive sustainable change in the whole world.
American Eagle outfitters is also one of the companies that are exploiting the power of multi- business companies. This company is not restricted to one brand of clothes it rather sells a variety of wearing ranging from women clothes, men clothes, swimming suits, bras, and jeans. For women it has all the outfits that women desire to have which ranges from tops, bottoms, leggings, panties, and bras. The website has been able to provide the display and clear information of the same outfits. The best thing of this website is that it has most of the collections in one place. Men can find their outfits as well as women under one stall. This relieves customers from hopping from one site to another in search of clothes. The websites are very attractive and addresses many brands while trying to maintain the overall message which is very important. The organization makes sure that each brand that comes in place suits the standards that are put in place.
The conclusion, multiple businesses under one roof enables the company to thrive. When one product is down the company can then move in the other products. This is very beneficial to organizations because it will be difficult for them to collapse.
