Research Question #1: Is there a connection between the total hours you work and the number of hours you sleep?
Research Question #2: Does variables such as gender and job hours (part-time or full-time) affect the amount of sleep you get?
Hypothesis #1: Individuals who work less hours get more sleep than those who work more hours.
Hypothesis #2: Those of a male gender who work 20 hours or less get more sleep than females who work the same number of hours.
Research Design/Statistical Analysis:
I intend on using various methods of research to gather information for my study. First, I want to collect data from outside sources about what types of scenarios effect one’s sleep patterns. Second, I want to utilize a survey that I have created to through Google to gain information across all of the variables (students) that I have chosen. Since I am 100% online, I will post the survey on the LSUA Facebook page to reach the bulk of students. Lastly, I am going to outsource other college students who are in my classes at the local institution here in Atlanta. I intend to use descriptive statistics to support the data I gather easier to understand. Since this is a correlation experiment, I will use the correlation coefficient equation to verify if there are any correlations present.
