Community Based Educational Plan

Every community in the nation is faced with health problems and issues that need addressing. The health issue discussed in this paper focuses on the high infant mortality rate in the African American community where I live. I would use the Milos prevention framework to analyze the problem. According to Nies (2018), Milos prevention framework is designed to create healthy behavior based on society having options for people to make healthy choices. Many factors have contributed to the high death rate among African Americans. One of the main problems is the economic level of African-American parents. Most of them are unemployed and cannot afford to go to the clinic regularly. Compared to other ethnic groups, African American mothers face many challenges. The government has not resolved this problem by constantly supporting the group through projects that can help them earn a living so they can afford the quality health care they need.

The other thing is that depression is the main cause of high death rates among African Americans because they feel carefree and, in most cases, stereotyped. This leaves them hopeless without a future generation. If that is the case, the government should propose several measures to ensure that this health problem does not persist in the community.
