Nicole Eisenman Tunnel of Love, 1998 and the work of Lisa Yuskavage are both sensually oriented.

Dana Schultz, Twister Mat, 2003 is surreal. Some of the objects in the piece are easily readable like the bones and twigs, yet they are also suggestive of erect phalluses and the twister game mat is also kn9w to be used in a sexual manner. The images of skulls and bones merged, protruding and puncturing seem to state that the game that is being played is fatal.
While the sexual images in Yuskavages work seem to be subjects of woman confidence, sexual exploration, and maternal Eisenman renders her nude models in a sort of passive manner, in contrast to Schultz ′dismembered, violent, and interactive subjects.″
This is for a MFA fine arts paper and should reflect artists similar to my work. I am an oil painter and focus mainly on young girls and women. They are typically represented in a way that they do not directly engage with the audience, rather, they are are interacting with their environment an objects. My subjects tend to blur the line between child and adult. Some provocative yet innocent or children encountering adult concepts in facing unprecedented situations in their youth, revealing the truth of the adult world rather than the fantasy of childhood. Additionally, my artwork often depicts an otherworldly and surreal environment. I would like to pull these ideas from other artists into a paper comparing 2 or more artists. The list provided above is a personal list of artist recommended to me by my mentor, though they are only suggestive and not required. I typically write excellent essays, however, I have struggled to write this due to unforeseen natural disasters and its due tomorrow! I am struggling and need help!
