A wiki is a collaborative learning experience that enables groups of students to work together to solve a problem or complete a project.

Click on the page links on the right to open each wiki. Read the project description for each one, then, once you have selected your resources, click on “Edit Wiki Content.” Keep the wiki open only for as long as it takes you to make your edit as only one student can be in the wiki at a time. Enter your resources in the list along with an annotation briefly describing each resource and why you selected it. Be careful not to overwrite anyone else’s work. Finish your contribution by writing: “Posted by (insert your name)” and then click the “Submit” button to save and close the wiki.

Each student should contribute at least three original resources. In other words, do not post a resource that someone else has already chosen. The annotations should be no more than 150 words (or 4-6 sentences long). They should be concise and well-written. Read more about writing annotations.

ASSIGNMENT BELOW:

Create a repository of resources that criminal justice practitioners can use to increase their understanding of the use of the classical experiment in criminal justice. Notably, there are potential legal and ethical problems when conducting randomized field experiments to study crime, victims, offenders, and incarcerated individuals, and other “criminal justice actors,” which is all the more reason to broaden our comprehension of this method. Make sure your resource is relevant and recent. Do not submit information older than five years. Outdated sources lose their usefulness.
