At least three of these must be from three different professional journals and no source should be prior to 2010. A hard copy of this list must be submitted to me on the day of your presentation.
B. On the day of your presentation prepare to share the information that you have gathered. You must use some form of technology but other types of visual aids are welcome. Also prepare a one-page handout (both sides are okay if you would like) that summarizes the key elements of your research. Photocopy and distribute enough handouts for the class members (this will be done electronically). This part of your presentation should last about 10 minutes.
C. Follow your presentation with a discussion regarding your research. Specifically you should address the ways in which the information you have gathered may influence your classmates’ careers (with a focus on teachers and students).
Prepare at least five questions that are intended to probe your peers’ thinking. This discussion should also last between ten and fifteen minutes.
You will be evaluated in the following manner:
1. Was your presentation of information clear and delivered according to the given directions? (15 points)
2. Was your one-page handout clear and informative? (5 points)
3. Did you lead a discussion according to the given directions? (10 points)
4. Was your reference list comprehensive and accurate? (10 points)
5. Did you meaningfully engage in (and provide feedback in regard to) others’ presentations?
