You have a solid plan to draw your sample (using probability methods of course) and gigantic grant to fund the whole project. What are the key variables that you intend to study? More specifically what is the primary independent variable and the primary dependent variable and what the key control variables do you need to measure and include? In answering the question you should walk me through the important stages of measurement ranging from conceptualization to operationalization of variables. Additionally in describing your variables and how you’ve conceptualized and operationalized them you need to clearly indicate the level of measurement utilized and why that decision matters for your study. Finally how will you know if your measures are reliable and valid? How will you test that empirically? 2). Ethics and ethical commitments among scientists are critical considerations when carrying out research. What are the ethical obligations of scientists regarding data collection and analysis? Why is this critical to the advancement of science? Identify the four major problem areas regarding the ethical treatment of human subjects.
