Answer 1 Amazon Alexa is a cloud-based voice service that allows creating custom content by selecting their voice. It can use it to control every aspect of the home or tell customers what to from home. Alexa is a service that can create from scratch and integrate with a variety of other Alexa-enabled devices. The service that brings a feature like Alexa to the world can be either innovative or outdated but that is all part of the appeal of conversational technology. It can be hard to explain all the ways technology can work. What makes it work for people is the imagination of the people using it (Sharda et al. 2020). There is a real lack of data on how the technology works with the public which is often the biggest challenge for innovations in this area. Alexa is making huge strides in this area and is just one example of how our technology can be opened in a way that makes it easy to adopt. Amazon is going to expand Alexa beyond just what she was intended for before and excited to see how her capabilities grow and develop in the future. Alexa is set to expand beyond speech recognition to more to bring Alexa and the products use to life (Sharda et al. 2020). Once the commercial entities get the Alexa tool in their hands they will deploy it to different customers places and experiences. The consumer can coffee and espresso using Alexa at Starbucks. Essentially there are two different types of Alexa skills: retail and consumer applications. The retail application gives a wide range of voice commands to make purchases using a PC or tablet (Wang 2020). The consumer application is created by many companies that are very competitive and provide their applications which can use for their in-house applications and business. Alexas own experiences with commercial businesses have sparked her curiosity into the pipeline that would allow it to write the code that will ultimately replace its human engineers (Wang 2020). Answer 2 Alexa is the worlds first intelligent assistant which uses voice to work as a personal digital assistant. Alexa works with phone tablet smart speaker car and home to deliver a voice-powered experience. At home Alexa provides the answers to questions asked in-home and uses voice to perform simple chores like taking care of the kids changing the setting turning on the lights setting the radio or checking the weather. Moreover at the office Alexa can act as a personal virtual assistant by helping complete tasks checking the mail or calendar setting reminders conducting quick searches and responding to text messages and calls. Some examples of tasks include turning on the lights taking a phone call sending a text and adding items to the shopping list (Sharda et al. 2020). Alexa is the perfect companion to get the full experience that the Starbucks app offers with an in-store encounter such as the ability to customize the experience by items from other units in store. Alexa can interact with all the kiosks and kiosk-like things in store including the serving bar. Overall it is a different experience to go in and say Alexa it here and sit there get a cup of coffee (Turban et al. 2018). Alexa can also delivery and delivery of some of the food items in stores. It is the understanding of most licensees that Alexa and AR-enabled devices will become commercial services via existing commercial technology vendors. This partnership of purchase/use of the IP and commercial patents to sell the technology requires very close attention. The goal of Alexas skill is to make it possible for more merchants to integrate into Amazons assistant without having to write a custom API or hand over data to third parties.
