HOW To Get Tableau Software

Step 1: Go to https://www.tableau.com/academic/students
Click: “Get Tableau for Free”
It will pop up registration form below.

After fill out your information, you will be asked to upload documentation.

To verify your enrollment, Tableau requires a school-issued document like below.

Tableau recommends sending them a screenshot of UC portal that shows your enrollment in the current term with the screenshots of your online timetable or your current enrolled courses.

Then, you will receive their email with product key below.

Click “Download Tableau Desktop” to install Tableau Software on your desktop.
When installing this program, you are required to use this product key for using this for free for a year.

Step 2: Open your Tableau Software on your desktop.

Step 3: Here is the first page of Tableau Analytics

Step 4: Open the data (“Labor Market 2018 & Projected 2018–28” downloaded from Blackboard)

It may take a minute to launch this data. And then, you will see below features.

Step 5: Drag and drop appropriate data sets from the left pane onto the right pane. You can drag several data set to analyze.
Sometimes, it may take a minute to load data.

Step 5: You can see data set to analyze below. Then you have to click “Sheet 1” to open analysis space.
