You’ll submit an original paper you write on one of the following topics in operations management: 1. Is it a good idea for companies to apply Lean/just-in-time concepts for their supply chains given the large number of current and predicted natural disasters? What are viable alternatives? 2. What are the issues with United States companies relocating manufacturing from China and bringing manufacturing back to the United States or to other countries? 3. What were/are the issues related to the acute shortages related to toilet paper, masks, sanitizing wipes, meat, and other products related to COVID-19? 4. What are the operations management issues related to the world’s economy relying more on employees working remotely indefinitely and perhaps permanently? Your paper needs to be between 500 and 700 words not counting references. Please make sure to stay within these word count limits as I will impose a penalty if go under or over. You need at least six references, with at least two coming from scholarly, peer-reviewed sources.
