Mental health care is becoming a very emotive healthcare issue today that needs to be mitigated. In this way, it is only possible for the issue to be mitigated if the nurses dealing with people with mental illnesses have sufficient skills and knowledge to handle them. Brief description of the aims of the research of each peer-reviewed article

The main aim of this quantitative study was to determine the efficacy of 2-day metabolic workshops that was done to provide nurses with the skills to deliver lifestyle interventions.

The current stud aimed to investigate the connection between performance and upskilling. It also explores the benefits of upskilling to the employees and the organization.

The study aimed to provide insights on the perspective, role, and experience of healthcare assistants in managing and assessing pain among patients with dementia. It also provides insights on the role of training in improving the management and assessment skills of healthcare assistants.

The paper aimed to examine the challenges of training nurses working in the community to commence catheterization for uncomplicated patients in the community.

Brief description of the research methodology used Be sure to identify if the methodology used was qualitative, quantitative, or a mixed-methods approach. Be specific.

The study used a mixed method study design. Data collection was done using questionnaires that were sent to the study participants. The sampling method that was adopted in the study was random sampling. The quantitative component compares pre and post-measures of attitudes, confidence, knowledge, and perceived barriers of providing metabolic care using a validated tool (M-BACK) and the qualitative component to elicit more details of the needs, expectations, and plans of participants.

A qualitative study design using grounded theory-based analysis of 36 interviews revealed that TAWs rely on enhancing their employability as the primary strategy to combat job insecurity.

A qualitative method was assumed, using key informant interviews with healthcare assistants caring for people with progressive dementia oncoming the end of life in hospice, nursing home, and severe care settings. Thematic analysis was the analytic method taken to understanding interview data. Data were collected between June 2014 and September 2015

Systematic literature review methodology was used to complete the study. Databases searched were MEDLINE, Embase, CINAHL, PsycInfo, and ASSIA from 1980 until March 2015. Studies included were English-language qualitative studies in primary care and community care.

A brief description of the strengths of each of the research methodologies used, including reliability and validity of how the methodology was applied in each of the peer-reviewed articles you selected.

The mixed-method was important in this perspective because it allowed the researcher to collect both qualitative and quantitative data that were used to describe and quantify the effectiveness of the program respectively. Similarly, the study design allowed the researcher a wide scope of knowledge to use in the study.

The study design was adopted because it allowed the researcher to understand the attitudes of the participants towards upskilling. The validity and the reliability of the study findings were enhanced through an unbiased selection of participants and using an open-ended process which allowed the participants to open up and provide relevant data.

A qualitative study design was adopted because it allowed the researcher to understand the attitudes and emotions of the participants towards training and their role as healthcare assistants in helping patients with dementia. The validity and the reliability of the study findings were enhanced through an unbiased selection of participants and using an open-ended process which allowed the participants to open up and provide relevant information.

For many years, literature review methodology has been used to investigate problems and provide solutions. The strengths of the methodology are found in the fact that it gives the researcher a wide area to explore already established literature on the topic and synthesize new knowledge. The validity and reliability of the findings are enhanced by the fact that only peer-reviewed studies are used.

General Notes/Comments

The findings of the study indicate that nurse upskilling is very important as it allows new nurses to gain more knowledge and experience to work with people with mental health problems and provide them with important interventions.

Helping TAWs improve employability is important for TAWs, staffing agencies as well as clients. With improved employability, TAWs overcome job insecurity—a disablement to job show, which is of direct significance to the worker and the customer—and also affects the staffing agency’s long-term association with the client.

In general, studies have already provided sufficient reasons why healthcare organizations should involve in upskilling programs to increase the number of organizations. The current article, therefore, plays a big role in emphasizing why nurse upskilling is important from a clinical perspective.

Studies have shown that community care is at the head of the National Health Service reforms. Role redeployment from registered nurses to health care assistants is growing. Therefore, there is a need to have community nurses with sufficient knowledge and skills to provide the needed care.
