Similar to other students I am a fulltime student taking on four classes to balance a fulltime day job. I am taking this course due to my major being Human Resources and having an interest in that field. I choose Human Resources for my degree because of the amount of procedures and policies individuals or companies undergo. I did some research to discover employee relations is most likely the position I want within the Human Resources industry because I want to be an outreach for employees. To have a position of power with on-hands experience to ensure people are treated fairly proper training company assets is protected and to develop or redesign systems. Next a few fun facts about me are I love food I used to live in Saint Paul Minnesota till the 3rd grade I believe and I enjoy exploring new experiences. With food chicken sandwiches are my new favorite and my go to resturant is EATMAINCHICK that sells tender and flavorful sandwiches! Yes I think most of my classmates thought I was going to say Popeyes or Chik Fil A but sadly nope. I would go to 626 market a lot to try out new pop-up restaurants and every experience is completely different since there will be a refresher on venders to visit. One thing I do miss about Minnesota is the snow and heavy rain fall when the seasons change. Also I only went once but every year in Minnesota during the winter an giant ice castle is built for people to ice skate through and around it! Another thing I miss is July 4th Soccer tournament because there is tons of food flag foot ball soccer games and more to see! Lastly in the middle of the pandemic I traveled to pfeiffer beach near big sur on the Pacific Coast Highway. Pfieffer beach has purple sand due to quart crystals diminishing within the surrounding area. 2Hello everyone! My name is Andrea Barraza and this is my first year attending Cal State San Bernardino as a transfer student. My major is Business administration I am open to learning about human recourses and there polices that may help a work environment be more productive and help employees. Working for a large corporation I often see misuse of managers and even human recourses department not providing helpful recourses to employees to help benefit their workplace environment. Being apart of working class I hope to gain as much knowledge to understand and know my rights as a worker and can be the one to be informed. Aside from working full time and attending school I enjoy exercising and painting and also run a small little business online of CBD infused lotions with essential oils. I started making these to help my mothers arthritis which later became very popular among my coworkers and friends. It’s made from all organic products and are made with love and good intention to heal and help others with minor pain. I am very excited to continue my education and eager to learn from other students and this class.
