A nurse practitioner has got various roles that one has specialized in dealing with human health. These are governed much by the ethics of practice in the field where one is expected to conduct him/herself according to the ethics. One of the most noted problems in the field amongst children is obesity, which, much surprisingly from the recent studies done on it, has been on the rise due to some factors predisposing the young children. Various underlying issues might bring the issue to be on the rise, such as the increased intakes of energy diets with high fat connect and even the sugar levels. Also, it accused by the lack of physical activity by most persons and even the urbanization and even other factors such as the transportation factors her those people who drive most of the time are at high risk of getting the dis than those having walks most of the time (Rosário & Martins, 2020).
The issue of obesity in the field of my specialization is something we encounter most of the time, thus making it an exciting subject as it’s an issue that I deal with most of the time. When research is being done on the topic, the research helps better understand the ideas behind obesity and the general counseling session that suits each person’s situation. Counseling depends much on the preferences of someone and the presence of any disabilities, which may alter advice given as a way of dealing with the obesity problem (Pietrobelli, 2010).
Since a long time ago at my childhood ages, obesity in children has been linked with factors such as hypertension, etc., in adults, where the research topic for such a case helps much in positively contributing to the present and future career advancements. One of the critical locations that are very resourceful on the research topic is the library which needs some strategies to understand the childhood obesity issues and their main causes and the preventions. The commonality observed in the obesity individuals, primarily children, is well understood based on their causes and various prevention methods. The commonality observed between the children who are obese is used much on determining the best treatment option and the prevention as they can all be related to the intake of something that might be putting someone at a greater risk of suffering from obesity (Rosário & Martins, 2020).
The family influence has been noted to be a factor contributing to the issue where either in one way or another, certain factors in the family either promote obesity or don’t promote it. When there is food preparation of meals having a lot of fats, that puts the embers at high risk of suffering from obesity and mainly for the infants, the community should be made much aware of the existence of the problem and thus be educated on the best ways that can be taken, thus minimizing the probabilities of the issues happening. The research has included that there should be provided quality support in fighting obesity within the society and that policies be evaluated, thus fighting the issues of obesity (Pietrobelli, 2010).
Nutritional counseling is another way of minimizing the obesity percentages within the society where people are advised on best foods that don’t have the effects such as developing one to being obese. Also, workshops where counseling can be offered, are noted to be very helpful in fighting the obesity issue. The people should be informed by other methods such as through education lessons for the public on the issue of obesity as research shows that families having obese people has little knowledge on dealing with the issue. Access to healthy foods by all persons and even their ways of transport may put them aside from the education programs on the obesity topic, thus disadvantaging them but looking for other methods of learning the problem (Foster & Nonas, 2004).
