POLS1600; Russian Church and its government

Russia’s constitution states that State and Church are separated, and they do not intervene which means church should not have any influence over state and vice versa. But in fact, Russian church is very powerful and has strong ties withing the government. For this research paper you are to answer:

“Relationship between the Russian Church and its government”

Format:

–           This paper must be typed, 12-point font and double-spaced.

–           Paper should be 10-12 pages.

–           Use the MLA format

–           Have a proper work cited

–           This is a Research Paper

–           Must have at least 10 sources (at least one book and two articles)

Requirements:

1. Find at least two articles and a book about the topic;
2. Need to have a central primary question
3. Books and journal articles are preferable in research.
4. Make sure to present graphs, charts and other useful statistic
5. Newspaper articles may be useful, but the research paper should not solely be based on newspaper reports;
6. Make sure all quotes, data and statistics have a reference. The text should be double spaced and use the MLA format of citations (author, year, page – in text, with full references on the last page). Cite all the sources you use.

You may divide the paper into three parts: A TEMPLATE

1. Introduction: What is the subject all about? What are its boundaries? What is the main question? Write a paragraph about how you will go about your resources/references. Why you chose the references you did? Why are they useful and relevant? This section should not be more than 3-4 pages;
2. Main part of the paper:

In this section, you will present lots of data including stats, definitions, graphs, tables, schools of thought, approaches to the topic by different stakeholders. You want the reader to learn how the issue is defined and what are its dimensions. This section depending on your writing style may be somewhere between 10-12 pages;

1. Conclusion:

In this part, you will write the conclusions of your research. What did you learn? Why was this subject so significant? Will it be resolved? What are challenges and difficulties ahead? Make sure you state your own opinions about the topic. This section may be somewhere between 3-5 pages;
