Business context (why we do it)
Spinneys operates 51 retail outlets across the UAE and has seen in-person retail ever since its existence in 1961 with no e-commerce
platform and home delivery service needed. However, due to the COVID-19 crisis and with new government regulations in place with
respect to movement of persons in the city, most of our stores have seen irregularity in sales with some even reporting a drop in sales
over the last 2 months. As a result, to recover our revenue lost and to increase our market share, it is necessary for us to develop an e-
commerce platform with home delivery service to cater to our customers especially those above 60 and in remote locations with minimum
travel options to our retail stores to allow for an increase
Project Objective
To develop and launch Spinneys E-Commerce Portal and Home Delivery in Dubai
Project Scope
The scope of this project includes the creation of an online e-commerce user interface with updated product database to allow for online
grocery shopping and creation of an tracking interface to facilitate home delivery of s by customers.
