COU 650 Final Project Two Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
The second final project for this course is a summary of the diagnosis portion of the case conceptualization that you will present to the client. The final product
represents an authentic demonstration of competency because as a counselor, you will need to know how to present the summary of a diagnosis to a client. You
will need to provide diagnosis results to a client using simple and nonclinical language. Reactions to hearing a diagnosis can vary, but counselors can attempt to
manage reactions through their approach to presenting their interpretations. Using simple, nonclinical language that normalizes the results of a diagnosis is
imperative to mitigating potential reactions from the client. Consider the final project case study and imagine how it might feel to receive some of the results
from the assessments the client completed. You will have the opportunity to practice these skills, with your peers, in a draft in Week Seven. The final product
will be submitted in Week Nine as a Bongo video.
In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:
COU-650-04: Articulate clear and appropriate assessment results for informing stakeholders of diagnosis.
COU-650-05: Determine appropriate ethical and cultural considerations in diagnosis of emotional and mental health dis s in clients.

Guidelines for Submission: Your client summary should be one to three minutes in length. Your submission must be clear and sensitive, and you should use
simple, nonclinical language. If your submission goes over three minutes, your instructor will ask you to resubmit the assignment.
