Story of the Cell Cycle assignment

You will write a childrens book OR comic strip in which you describe the process of the Cell Cycle in an animal OR a plant cell. Your book/comic strip should include colorful illustrations. Characters in your book must include: DNA spindle fibers cyclins kinases. Events that occur must include: Interphase (including G1 S and G2) Mitosis (including Prophase Metaphase Anaphase and Telophase) and Cytokinesis. Your story’s theme must be based on one of the main goals of cell division (growth or tissue repair). You may work independently or in groups of up to 3 students to complete this assignment. You will complete a peer and self reflection. Your product may be digital or drawn/written neatly on paper. You will upload your final product to Google Classroom. Your story/comic should – most importantly – accurately represent the events and components of the Cell Cycle. However it should also be interesting to read!
