Give this fictitious center a name and something special to set your center apart from others. You could focus on low income families children with special needs religious influences diverse languages special curriculum the arts etc. Develop a written mission statement and goals for your center. The mission should clearly and concisely state the purpose and business of the program in a manner that resonates with the current staff and current and potential families. The philosophy of your center should be clear in your mission statement. Your goals should provide examples of how you will carry out your mission. Make sure to include at least 5 goals which support your mission and address the quality of your center efforts for inclusion curriculum specifics and anything else that will set you apart from other centers. Make sure you are familiar with the information on page 23 relating to mission statements. You may also do some research on existing mission statements and use these to guide you. You will be graded on content and presentation.
